7 ways that creativity is good for you and how we can help you get there

If Kristin doesn’t do something creative for a while - she gets this itch. She can try and do other relaxing things, like, reading, or watching tv. Though it never satisfies.

The itch isn’t about making a thing - it’s about the process of creating and how it makes her feel. It could be drawing, sewing, making a simple thing.

Sometimes it helps just to walk through the process of creating something. Visualizing it from start to finish. Sometimes the thing she has been visualizing never sees the light of day - but the creative process of thinking about it is enough.

Creativity is good for you.

“I’m not very creative” doesn’t work. There’s no such thing as creative people and non-creative people. There are only people who use their creativity and people who don’t. Unused creativity isn’t benign. It lives within us until it’s expressed, neglected to death, or suffocated by resentment and fear.

— Brene Brown
