Learn an easy analog printing technique that is easy to do. You will use fresh botanicals to create beautiful blue prints on paper!
It is back. It is retro. It is super cool.

Cyanotype is a photographic printing process that produces a cyan-blue print. Engineers used the process well into the 20th century as a simple and low-cost process to produce copies of drawings, referred to as blueprints. Artists and photographers use it to create beautiful blue art prints

YOU CAN EXPECT:

  • Demo and hands on time to practice the techniques

  • Exercises that allow you creative freedom to explore with out expectation of final results

  • Explorative activities that encourage a sense of adventure and play

  • direction is provided but you are allowed to explore your creative vision

CYANOTYPE SKILLS YOU WILL LEARN

  • How to print with the analog print process. Including where to find chemistry. How to do it safely.

  • Learn develop times and rinse times to ensure your prints turn out great

  • Print flowers and leaves.

Who is this class for?
YOU! Anyone. Everyone. This class is suitable for anyone aged sixteen and older. 

Do I have to have experience?
No, absolute beginners are welcome. 

Do I have to be artsy or crafty to do this?
Nope. This is an entry level skill. If you know nothing about photography, this class is for you.

Can I come more then once?
Yes, if you wanted to, you would build on your skills by coming more often. Every class will have its own unique creative flare.

Is this like paint night?
No. It is better.   ;) You can personalize it.
