GELLI PLATE is a form of printmaking that has lines or images that can only be made once. You will socialize in the group while you create many printed paintings. No two prints are alike. The beauty of this media is in it's combination of printmaking, and painting and in it's spontaneity. It lends itself well to abstraction.

You can use the final pieces as stand alone paintings or in the following ways

  • Art journals
  • Collage projects
  • Backgrounds for art projects

Monotypes, the plate is a featureless plate. It contains no features that will impart any definition to successive prints.

In this workshop you will learn;

  • how to transfer of ink from a plate to paper
  • How to correctly use the featureless gel plate
  • How to ghost print to successive prints
  • How to create many individual unique prints

All Professional art supplies included in registration fee.
